EBRD, EU and EIB support high-speed rail in Serbia with €2.2 billion

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the European Union, and the European Investment Bank have joined forces to provide Serbia with a €2.2 billion financing package for the modernisation of the rail link between Belgrade and Niš. The upgrade will enable faster travel speeds, promote a modal shift to greener transport, and support Serbia's economic development and regional connectivity.
