Updated South African Railway Safety Permit Fees

The Minister of Transport, Fikile Mbalula, has approved the determination of permit fees for the Railway Safety Regulator in accordance with the National Railway Safety Regulator Act, 2002 (Act No. 16 of 2002 – Determination Of Permit Fees under section 23(2)).

These fees are to be charged by the Railway Safety Regulator for safety permits and will be in effect from 1 April 2023 to 31 March 2024.

The updated permit fees were officially gazetted on 17 February 2023.
