Gabon Seeks Owner’s Engineer for Transgabonais Railway Upgrading Project
Owner’s Engineer Assistance Mission for the Transgabonais Project (AMO)
Gabon has launched a new consultancy tender as part of its ongoing efforts to modernise the Transgabonais railway. With funding from the French Development Agency (AFD), the Government—through SETRAG, acting as Delegated Contracting Authority—is seeking to recruit a multidisciplinary consultant to provide Owner’s Engineer assistance for the network-wide infrastructure rehabilitation programme.
The selected consultant will support project management, stakeholder coordination, financial oversight, and technical decision-making. The role also includes supervising the implementation of multiple works contracts, including the rehabilitation of earthworks and hydraulic structures, structural strengthening of engineering assets, and the modernisation of 28 level crossings with electrification, fibre optic cabling, and automation.
The assignment spans the entire SETRAG network between Owendo and Franceville and is expected to run over a two-year period. Expressions of interest must be submitted by 18 August 2025. Premium subscribers go here:
