Zambia Railways Limited Appoints New Managing Director

The Board of Directors of Zambia Railways Limited (ZRL) have announced the appointment of Mr Cuthbert Malindi as Managing Director of Zambia Railways Limited, effective 2 January 2025.

Mr Malindi, a Mechanical Engineer, Chartered Accountant, and Chartered Financial Analyst by profession, is an experienced venture capitalist, business and transaction advisor, and investment executive with over 25 years of success in leading investment and business growth initiatives in various public and private organisations.

He has extensive experience in transportation and logistics, as well as a proven track record of success in government- and pension fund-backed equity and venture capital funds in South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, and Zambia.

In his previous roles, Mr Malindi, a multi-skilled executive, has successfully provided strategic and investment advice on capital raising, business setup and growth, and restructuring across the logistics, technology, fintech, and agriculture value chain sectors in organisations in Southern and East Africa.
