Yusen Logistics Global Management and AGL Kenya Limited Form Strategic Joint Venture in Kenya

Yusen Logistics Global Management Co., Ltd. (YLGM) and AGL Kenya Limited, a subsidiary of Africa Global Logistics (AGL), which is one of Africa’s leading logistics providers, have signed a Joint Venture Agreement (JVA) in Nairobi, Kenya, marking a defining step in the development of the African continent’s logistics capabilities.

In April 2025, YLGM and AGL signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Paris to establish a strategic partnership in Africa. Under the terms of JVA, YLGM and AGL Kenya are intending to establish a new joint venture company in January, subject to the receipt of all required regulatory approvals, to provide a full range of services, including freight forwarding, multimodal transport, contract logistics, and customs brokerage. Leveraging Kenya as a key gateway, the Yusen Logistics Group aims to strengthen its logistics capabilities across the East African region.

“This partnership reflects our shared commitment to delivering world-class logistics solutions across Africa. Together with AGL, we are unlocking new opportunities and building a platform for sustainable growth,” said Hiroyuki Okamoto, President and COO, YLGM.
