Sitarail Receives a Further Six New RENFE Wagons

Following the previous batch received on 13 May, Sitarail’s operating teams received a further six wagons, each with a payload of 46 tons.

Acquired from Spanish operator RENFE and disembarked on 1 August at the Autonomous Port of Abidjan, the new wagons bring the total number of RENFE wagons received to twelve. More than fifty additional wagons are expected to be delivered during 2025.

With these acquisitions, Sitarail has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting its partner states by enhancing operational capacity, sustaining railway infrastructure, and strengthening the socio-economic impact of rail transport in the region.
