Passenger Rail Services Resume to António Agostinho Neto International Airport

Regular passenger train services between Bungo Station and the AIAAN railway terminal have resumed.

ANTT reported that, at precisely 06:00 on Monday, 27 April, the sound of the traditional locomotive horn signalled the departure of the first train from the new Bungo multimodal station. The train arrived at the airport station at 07:15, marking the return of services after a 10-month suspension.

The resumption is being implemented gradually in two phases. During the first phase, only the inter-station service will operate, with four daily frequencies and intermediate stops at Musseques, Viana and Baia stations.

The Board of Directors travelled on board to monitor the process and welcome passengers back.

The journey proceeded calmly, although some challenges along the route remain visible and will need to be fully addressed with the contribution of all stakeholders.
