New Appointment to Uganda Railways Corporation Board

Uganda’s Minister of Works and Transport has announced the appointment of Eng. Benjamin Olobo to the Board of Uganda Railways Corporation. He replaces Eng. Robert Kafeero Sekitoleko, who has recently taken up the position of Chief Mechanical Engineer.

According to the announcement; Eng. Olobo is a highly qualified civil engineer, with a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Civil Engineering from Makerere University. He also holds a Master of Science in Highways Engineering and Management from the University of Birmingham, a Master of Business Administration from Heriot-Watt University, and a Master of Science in Finance and Economic Policy from the University of London, among other qualifications.

With over 15 years of experience, Eng. Olobo has been involved in delivering comprehensive advisory and technical solutions for large-scale transport infrastructure projects across Sub-Saharan Africa, Western Europe, and the South Pacific Islands.
