Mozambique Calls for Consultants for Machipanda Railway – Environmental and Social Studies
The Portos e Caminhos de Ferro de Moçambique (CFM) has invited expressions of interest for consultancy services to support the operationalisation and implementation of its Environmental and Social Management System (ESMS) and Integrated Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP). The consultancy will also develop climate risk management tools and greenhouse gas accounting methodologies.
The initiative is part of the Environmental and Social Impact Studies for the proposed Machipanda Railway Rehabilitation Project, financed through the NEPAD Infrastructure Project Preparation Facility hosted by the African Development Bank.
The assignment, expected to run for twelve months, aims to strengthen institutional processes, build staff capacity, and ensure compliance with regulatory and financing institution standards. CFM emphasises that the project will foster accountability, inclusiveness, resilience, and sustainability across its rail and port operations.
Interested consultants must demonstrate relevant experience and capacity to deliver the services. Submissions are due by 19 September 2025.
