Latest Rail Safety Related Regulatory Tools Published By The Railway Safety Regulator

The Railway Safety Regulator (RSR), in terms of the National Railway Safety Regulator Act No. 16 of 2002, as amended (“the Act”), has published the following regulatory tools:

The Safety Management System Determination

The Draft Safety Management Systems Determination is hereby published for Public Comments. All interested and affected Stakeholders are hereby invited to submit their written comments within 60 days from the date of publication of this Draft Safety Management Systems Determination in the Government Gazette, for comments.

This CSM-RA is hereby published as an Addendum to the existing latest version of the Safety Management Systems Determination in Terms of Section 28 of the National Railway Safety Regulator Act 16 Of 2002, as Amended for implementation and compliance by Operators as defined in the Act.

Regulator Interface Agreements Standard

The Interface Agreements Standard is hereby published for implementation and compliance by the Operators, and it applies to all Operators as defined in terms of the Act. The Operators are henceforth required to comply by implementing the requirements which are specified in this Standard.
