Interpipe Supplies Railway Wheels To ONCF

Interpipe, a global producer of steel pipes and railway products based in Ukraine, continues to hold the economic frontline of the country by increasing exports, particularly to African countries.

Recently, Interpipe successfully supplied a large batch of over 2,600 railway wheels to the Moroccan railways, Office National des Chemins de Fer (ONCF).

ONCF typically holds tenders every three years on average, entering into long-term agreements with suppliers. Under this contract, Ukrainian products will be used by Moroccan railways for the renovation of Fiat passenger cars, AnsaldoBreda electric trains, and freight railcars.

Olexandr Garkavyi, the Railway Products Division Director at Interpipe, said, “Interpipe has been cooperating with ONCF for almost 15 years. During this time, the company has established itself as a reliable supplier of railway wheels. As Morocco expands its rolling stock for the construction of a high-speed electric train line, Interpipe aims to further develop its partnership with Moroccan railways. The African continent is a promising market for railway products, and we already collaborate with Mauritania, Gabon, and Egypt, and plan to expand our presence in other countries in the region.”
