International: Liebherr HVAC Systems for Saudi Arabia Railways
Liebherr-Transportation Systems has been commissioned by Stadler Rail Schweiz AG (Switzerland) to supply heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems that will be installed in a new fleet of Intercity diesel multiple units (DMUs) for Saudi Arabia Railways (SAR).
Liebherr-Transportation Systems will supply HVAC systems for Stadler’s latest Intercity DMUs that will be operated by Saudi Arabia Railways (SAR) on the extended east–west corridor, which connects important regions of Saudi Arabia and supports the ambitious expansion of the country’s railway infrastructure.
The initial order comprises ten train sets, each consisting of five passenger coaches and two power cars, with an option for ten additional train sets.
