At the Land-Linked Zambia Conference & Exhibition, held in collaboration with the Zambian Ministry of Transport and Logistics, Railways Africa Editor Phillippa Dean spoke with Honourable Keoagile Atamelang, Assistant Minister of Transport for Botswana, to explore the country’s ambitious rail infrastructure strategy.
Botswana is prioritising four key rail corridors:
- Mmamabula–Lephalale (link to South Africa)
- Techobanine Corridor (Mozambique–Zimbabwe–Botswana link)
- Mosetse–Kazungula–Livingstone (link to Zambia)
- Trans Kalahari Railway (TKR) (link to Namibia)
