Ainah Dube-Kaguru to Lead NRZ During CEO Transition

The National Railways of Zimbabwe (NRZ) has announced a leadership transition following the decision by Chief Executive Officer Mr Munyaradzi Stephen Charangwa to step down on medical grounds, with immediate effect.

To support continuity at executive level, the NRZ Board of Directors has appointed Deputy Chief Executive Officer Mrs Ainah Dube-Kaguru as Acting Chief Executive Officer, also with immediate effect. She will lead the executive team while the Board begins the process of appointing a substantive Chief Executive Officer.

NRZ Board Chairperson Dr Misheck Sibanda, together with shareholder representative Mutapa Investment Fund, has assured management, staff, clients and partners that the organisation’s strategic direction remains unchanged.

According to the Board and shareholder, the revitalisation of rail operations, the modernisation of key infrastructure and the implementation of approved turnaround plans will continue with the mandate and backing of the shareholders.
