African Development Bank Issues Revised Country Strategy Paper For Kenya
In January 2024, the African Development Bank released the revised country strategy paper (CSP) for Kenya 2024-2028. The central aim of the CSP 2024-2028 is to aid Kenya in expediting its structural transformation and enhancing its resilience. To fulfill this aim, two key Priority Areas have been pinpointed: (i) Stimulating growth led by the Private Sector through enhancements in infrastructure and policy reforms; and (ii) Development of Human Capital. These areas are designed to not only augment but also to perpetuate the progress achieved through previous Bank interventions, aligning with Kenya’s aspiration for structural change and resilience enhancement.
The Bank’s support during the CSP 2024-2028 period will be strategically concentrated on four sectors: (i) transport, (ii) water and sanitation, (iii) economic governance within the first Priority Area; and (iv) skills development within the second Priority Area.
